The Trace Oxygen Analyser AMS 3140 has been developed for the measurement of Oxygen traces less than 1 PPM in hazardous areas classified as Zone 1. The electronics and the analytics are installed seperated gastight in a wall mounting housing. The Trace Oxygen analyser AMS 3140 is certified for applications in hazardous areas classified as Zone1, according ATEX II 2(1)G Ex de (ia Ga) IIC T6 Gb.
The Analyser AMS 3140 is equipped with an electronic measuring range switch-over with digital range recognition.
The Trace Oxygen Analyser series AMS 31xx are using electrochemical sensors which are calibrated and aligned according to individual specifications. The sensors are mounted on specific measuring chambers. To compensate the temperature deviations of the process gas each sensor has a built-in temperature regulation. The assembly consisting of the sensor, the measuring chamber and the temperature regulation is sealed gastight.
The lifetime of an electrochemical sensor is determined in PPM-hours of operation. A sensor operating in air has a shorter life expectancy than a sensor which operates in low PPM-gas concentrations only. The life expectancy in air is therefore only a few months compared to 3 years and longer in PPM-gas concentrations.
